So here's the deal. I've got a 97 cl 2.2 that i bought a few months ago. At the time, the key fob worked great with no problems. Recently, it wouldn't unlock or lock the doors when i hit the button so i changed the battery. The remote worked then for a day before it quit entirely. I replaced the battery again, and now the key fob light stays lit, and dims when a button is pressed. I've tried to reprogram the remote and its like the remote itself is disabled because of the light. I didn't want to have to buy a new one... Any insight on what the issue could be?

 

when your dealing with electronics could be a host of issuse,
you ruled out batt.
try taking the batt. out for like 2 days put it in and see?? (if youve done this than disregard)
the person befor you might have washed it, spilled beer on it, left it in the rain over night, pissed on it, put it up the pooper??? you never know, the thing might be fuckered.
