how to read 97 cl abs code

I search the forum and somebody said I can get the code by shortening the check connector under the glove box. But I don't know which one is the connector.

Can anybody give me some hints?

It's a two wire connector, usually blue, and may be plugged into a plastic dummy connector that is attached to underside of dash. Look under glove box area.

When you short the service check connector, turn keyswitch to ON, the ABS light will flash codes, all short flashes w/ short pause between 1st and 2nd digits. Code 41 = ffff-p-f. There will be a 2-3 sec pause between separate codes or repeats of same code.

good luck

I searched online and it says 4-8 means left rear sensor problem.

Somebody says that cleaning the sensor will help, most of the time cleaning will fix this problem.

Is that true?

Do I need to pull out of the wheel to remove the sensor?

Thanks,

From: is everything.
Taking off the wheel would certainly make your job a whole lot easier.

Can I use the back trunk tools to remove the wheel? I don't have any jack stands.
