no, not many HID kits that i've seen come with that relay kit stuff, you'd have to make that yourself if you wanted to. These kits nowadays are plug and play meaning they just attach to your stock headlight connectors and that's it. The wire goes from the stock connector to the ballast and from there to the bulb.
Some ppl say relay kits are good so that you can run a higher guage wire to the ballast(which draws a lot of power on startup) i've never run one myself, as it'd be one more thing to do, and all the ppl i've known with hid's just run it into their stock wiring like normal.
Didn't your hid kit come with a wiring diagram which probably explained most of this?

So hook those HID's up now!!!

try flipping the plugs around 180 degrees, I had to do that for my pnp kit, they worked the opposite way that they looked like they should.

Dang beat me to it. It's called reversing the polarity and should be the ticket. Hope you didn't pay to much for those. As I get the $60 kit from hidgate on ebay 1 year warranty and it comes with the digital harness if requested and relay kit if requested

thats what was wrong with mine.

As far as I know the only HID kits that hook up to the battery are the Dual Beam ones like mine. (9007).

The CL (9006) obviously doesnt need to switch from high to low because there is a seperate bulb for highs

glad to hear it
my instructions were pretty shitty too, they stole the instructions from another company and did a half assed job of trying to erase the bright red watermark
just figured it out on my own basically

haha, just think of all the effort and money. and what you could buy instead of projos, that's why i haven't done it yet, i keep thinking that.
FWIW: i meant the instructions i got with my HID kit, i don't remember there being any instructions on here for plug and play kits, besides flipping the plugs around.
Cuz they are plug and play, it's not as complicated as it used to be

Does the kit come with bulbs, or are they purchased separate?

I think I found it,
Are these the ones?
http://www.ddmtuning.com/products/Ra...it-102-85.html

And which color looks good? 8000K?

Also, do you usually install these on the 9005 (inner grille) or 9006 (outer) bulbs ?

Looks like a normal old HID kit to me.

As for Color. Its all by preference.
6000k is basically hyper white with a real small hint of blue.
8000k is still pretty white but has more blue
I wouldnt go any higher than 8000K because they start loosing output and start looking really fake when you get higher in color temperature.

Also. your low beams are the 9006 so that is where you would be putting these.
Unless for some odd reason you choose to get the high beams (9005) instead. or both. But You really wont need your brights when you get these.

Here are 8000K in my Xterra. They arent that blue in person but still have a nice tone to them

Here in Canada we have the inside lights as DRL (daylight running lights), so they are on all the time (at lower voltage output I'm guessing) and also serve as high beams. So if I install the xenons in place of 9005 bulbs, when the DRL are on at lower voltage would that even make sense or would it be a problem?

You don't want to run HIDs at low voltage.

From: is everything.
Low voltage + HID = hardcore flickering + dead ballasts
