Gas Guage Malfunction...Help!!!
Gas Guage Malfunction...Help!!!
One day I decided to make my turn signal light blue on my 99 acura cl 2.3. After the installation, it was a successful installation but my gas gauge is stuck at full. Before I started the installation my gas was near empty and now it stays full. Can anyone help me solve this problem...?
I am sure that all the wires to the guage cluster are hooked up. What I notice is that the gas guage pod is held on by 3 screws which is also its power source. Well...2 of the screws locks in tight but one of them keep turning like the tread is striped because it won't tighten all the way... Seems like I damaged one of the thread...so I ordered a new gas guage...lets see how it goes when it arrives.
Problem solved...it was a defective gas guage. I think I broke it while trying to test the blinkers with just screwing in some of the screw in the back of the chip...lesson learned: DONT BE LAZY
I replaced it with a new one and now it works.
