97 3.0 first gen. only mods to the engine is an SRI

it stalls when i start it sometimes. at first i was thinking plugs/wire or fuel filter.
is gets shaky for a second before it actually dies. normally after that i can drive it with no issues for a while. anyone know what the problem could be or has had the same issue

 

No Check Engine Light? Could be the ole' EGR ports or even the valve. Not too hard to clean out.

 

i do electrical only anything mechanical i dont know much about. is there a DIY on it?

 

Yeah, it's on this site somewhere. I don't have much mechanical experience except from just trying things on my own to my cl and I did it. Just follow the DIY and you should be good. I did it 3 weeks ago. All you need is throttle body cleaner and a screw driver to clean the ports. I also used a small wire brush that I used to use to clean my daughters baby bottles lol. It gets all the way into the port. Good luck!

 

Mine bogged out the other day too. I seemed like the fuel filter was clogged or something similar. hasnt happened again. I supposedly had the manifold cleaned by the deal about 8 months ago, so I hope it isnt that.
