fuel filter problem??

I have a 1999 Acura CL. I just had the heads and rings redone. As far as the engine is concerned it's just fine now, but I noticed the other day that when I accelerate my car quickly the car will struggle. it's hard to explain what exactly happens but it'll accelerate then stop then accelerate then stop about 3 or 4 times in the matter of a few seconds. I normally baby my car so I don't punch the gas, but this seems to happen when my boyfriend drives it. He punches the gas every time he takes off. I'm not sure what else it could be. Any help would be much appreciated

sounds like your boyfriend bag's the shit out of that poor cl. scan it for error codes, if none try a tune up, rotor, cap, wires, FUEL FILTER. might be the fuel pressure regulator, you sayed your heads were done, maby mechanic took a hammer to v-tech (j.j.).

Yes
mechanic changed plugs, wires, re-done heads, rings, cleaned fuel injection. I know your sappose to take it easy on your car for a while when the rings, and heads are redone. Perhaps it's that. like I said before, I've driven it all week and I haven't had the problem once. I just take it easy on the acceleration.
