Fog Light Problem

I have the OEM foglights on my 99 CL. If you are facing the front of the car my left one works and the right one doesnt. I have changed the blub out and it still does not work. Any suggestions on what maybe wrong?

gmb2000,

First and foremost, locate the fuse box located in your CL's engine bay:

After you found the fuse box, inspect the fog light fuse to determine whether or not it has blown: 1999 Acura CL Fog Light Electrical Schematic

I'm assuming that the fuse has blown; however, if it turns out to be fine then let us know

I've got a 97 with OEM fogs. taken them apart a few times.. first try a good quality bulb. make sure its put in correctly cause its possible last time it was'nt installed right and could cause bulb failure.

If that wont do the trick check for any moisture/corrosion in the housing.if there is , clean it out. also theres a rubber seal on the back plate... make sure theres no gaps or splits.

Its clearly not a fuse cause one of them works... i have checked for a left for/right fog fuse.. trust me. If its none of that follow the wires from the fog and see if they are broken and/or loose in a connector somewhere. this isnt easy tho... the fog light wireing is very complex. I thought it would be simple, its not. but it would have to be in the wireing somewhere. maybe a wire got melted or something...

good luck dude
