A few maintenance issues...
It's been a while. I used to be on here every day, but with the culminating responsibilities involving school and work, I've found myself on here less and less. As such, I've started to let my cl go a little bit sadly. Although it still runs incredibly at 213k, I do have a few issues I need to address.
1. Brakes - Not throwing an ABS code although the rotors need to be turned, could use some bleeding, but beyond this there is one large issue - whenever I brake quickly, generally on a slight downhill slant, I seem to get more compression braking than actual braking? It is an automatic - just seems to downshift WAY too early. Did a transmission service about 60k ago, could the tranny be the problem? Torque converter? Syncros going out?
2. Transmission - Shift shock, that downshifting B.S. As I said, did a tranny service not too long ago, I just cleaned out the egr as well quite recently. What other problems could contribute to this that may be given attention without pulling out the transmission?
3. Those annoying little climate control lights that always seem to go out. I could figure it out through trial and error, but instead of ripping my dash apart for a couple days could someone possibly link me on a write on how to get to those little f@%ckers? Blackack?
4. Front suspension components - I'm a douche when it comes to suspension. All stock, but my front suspension sounds like a dying cat going over bumps. Nearly positive it's all bushing problems, but what all should I replace? What's most common to go out?
5. Front engine mount - completely blown. Where is the best available?
6. Uhhhh. - Can't find the little cover/door for the left tail light assembly on any oem websites, my latch snapped. Link?
7. Best aftermarket header for 2.2? - Not dcsports. I'm not a gadjillionaire. Anything on ebay to replace the guy under $100 that isn't terrible? I've heard about hp drops on some, don't want that.
I think that is all for now. Anyways, thank you all beforehand for being preeetty much the best acura/honda/car forum on the net. Resourceful, well moderated and not full of idiots, flamers, ricers and whatnot. You guys are the best!

1+2 : Many threads on transmission shifting issues on here; guarantee you will get a ton of links if you use the search feature. Might want to look into pressure switches.
3: might actually be helpful to look thru diagrams online (acuraoemparts) for pictures of interior lighting; you will have to take out the climate control unit to replace those darn mini bulbs.
4. For the age of the car; every bushing. Most common; LCAs and ball joints.
5. Anywhere aftermarket; sometimes you can even get a good deal at the dealer, not a huge difference in price and definitely better quality. if not; try an advance auto parts around your way.
6. OEM only, might want to try Ebay.
