fan problem

so the fan for my car (the one that moves the air inside for heating and cooling) has been acting up. it sounds like it going off track and rubbing against something else, it's happening more and more now. and it only does it sometimes, and only when i hit a bump and it gets moved or something like that, and it usually takes a bump or something to correct itself. here's a video i took of what it sounds like
any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

kinda sounds like something is in the fan, our cars have a metal squirrel cage fan. I dont think it can really go off track, but I think something can get in it and at certain rpms something like that would show itself. Probably a mouse tail or playing card.....

I'm going to assume you dont have a heated garage that you can use to take this all apart. Even if it's the fan/motor, I found many for about $80 after a 2sec google search. I bet it doesnt need to be replaced, but you wont know until you take it all apart.. yay!

^ ya i still live at home, so i have a double attached garage i can use for like a day. do you know where exactly the fan is or anything else that would cause this problem?, my buddy said there is the same kinda problem with tegs and theirs is all behind the glovebox. I just wanna know where to look for all this before i bring my car into the garage, so that i don't end up taking off panels that don't need to come off. thanks for your help Myxomatosis

A new fan motor can be installed relatively easy on the 2.2L CL and may be same for 3LCL. Check ebay for best deals.

Your noise is probably due to a failing bushing supporting the fan motor shaft. They are not repairable.

good luck

^ as always you know exactly what it is. Just finished removing blower motor/fan unit, and that is the exact conclusion that i came to (just not as descriptive cuz i have no idea what is in that blower motor case). Also for anyone that ever needs this information. use this DIY for removing the unit
http://www.team-integra.net/sections...ArticleID=1256
it's the same process on a 2.2cl except the back screw you will need a 8mm wrench since there is a smaller amount of space in our cars. Also for removing the unit i had to pull back the carpet so i had enough space to angle it out (also had to use a little force).
and thanks again TexasHonda, you know everything
