factory keyless entry

factory keyless entry

on my 97 cl i have to be right on top of the car (like leaing on it) for the factory keypad to lock/unlock the doors.

I assume you replaced the battery, but since you didn't mention it I have to ask. Did you replace the battery yet?

i didnt but i plan to stop pand pick one up today. the light on the keypad shines bright and its been like that for the past 7 months so i would think if it was a dying battery it would have completly went out by now. im going to replace the batter today anyway tho.

The light is an LED which uses very little power. The remote's range would be reduced well before the light died.

so i changed the battery . i feel like i gained a few feet so basicially i can be three feet away for it to work. im happpy with that aslong as i dong have to be touching the car.

I have a bigger problem. Mine sometimes decides to work. the passenger side locks but then i hear a loud noise coming from the lock. Like the motor or something. Im a lil confused on what it could be. I replaced the battery
