Okay, I know this is a covered subject, but my radio code problems are different, but the same. My wife's father bought her the 97 Acura CL when we were in college. After they bought it they found out it had significant issues, including a busted radio. Her brother knew a guy who owned a salvage yard and gave him a deal on an Acura head unit to replace the defective one. He got the radio code, but didn't write it down and doesn't remember how or where he got it. I just had to change the battery and as we all know, the radio needs the security code. I pulled the radio and got the serial number in hopes that the local acura dealer would provide the code over the phone. Well, they will not provide it unless I bring the radio and proof of ownership. WELL, my father-in-law owns the car and lives in a different city, so there is no way for me to present proof of ownership. Does anyone have a way to look up this code for me so that my wife can use her stereo again? Thanks in advance!
