Dashboard shaking bad at idle!! Motor mounts??
Just wondering if anyone has had this problem. I have a 97 2.2 with about 245K miles and this is steadily getting worse. I was wondering if it was the motor mounts and if so how hard are they to replace. Thanks in advance.

If RPM is running below 700 rpm and get's worse when you shift from P/N to Drive, the Idile Air Control Valve (IACV) is not compensating for load. It may be defective or simply gummed up w/ grease/oil.
Clean throttle body bore, throttle plate, IACV, and IACV inlet/outlet passages w/ throttle body cleaner. Check IACV for function. Apply 12V and ground should cause valve to open and close when voltage is removed.
It is possible to be motor mounts, but I have found they are far less important than IACV.
good luck
