Cylinder Position Sensor

I'm getting a CEL 9 (cylinder position sensor) on my 97 2.2. The CEL doesn't come on until the car has warmed up. I'm running a P28 using a OBD2 -> OBD1 conversion harness. I checked the wiring on the harness and it looks good. I wasn't getting this CEL the last time I started the car up which was about a month ago.
I think I can check resistance at the connector for the CYP sensor to further diagnose, but I'm not sure where that connector is. I don't really know what to do about this problem and any advice would be appreciated.

the CYP sensor is an internal component of your distributor, so the connector is apart of the distributor connections. im not sure which ones though. also, I dont believe they sell replacement sensors, so if its bad you might have to replace the whole distributor.
