Clutch Linkage Problem?
Just came back from college break (3 hour trip) everything was perfectly fine in my 1997 2.2 cl 5 spd, went to make a beer run the next day and found that my clutch wasn't catching where it usually does (1/2 way to the floor) instead it was catching at about 2 " off the ground, it was still driveable and all but it was extremely hard to have smooth transitions into the next gear. Is this a sign that pressure plate is gone? or could it simply be a problem with the clutch linkage wire being loosened? if it is how do i adjust this, cause in my old prelude it was a hydrolic clutch and had to bring it to a shop to be adjusted but i would like to fix this on my own since i've been on this forum for awhile and def not a noob, any help would be great thanks!!!!
i had a problem similar... what u discribed sounds kinda like mine... it is a hydraulic clutch... check the fluid cuz mine was barely shiftable... i was able to drive it to the shop haha... i could barely go into 1st to start out... and from 2-5 it was a btich
