if its like a high pitched wahhh and sounds like your motor, it is, and its supposed to make that noise, and you most likely have downs. otherwise, i wouldnt know.

If it's a grinding sound, it could be your brake pads. Do your brakes squeal at all?

now also when I brake it makes a grinding noise coming from the back tires. I had mah pads done a couple of months ago but didn't do the rotors.

either your pads are now incorrectly seated in the caliper, or your rotors are warped.

Take off the caliper and look at how the pads are seated. Also, check the rotors for any type of uneven wear.

could be your calipers sticking, but that shouldn't make a loud banging or snapping sound. No matter what it is, I wouldn't recommend ignoring it, either take the wheels off and take a look around, or take it to a mechanic stat.
