Hello all. This is my first post so please don't jump too hard. Searched other threads with no results, but, as was mentioned, the answer is out there somewhere. 99 CL V-Tec 4 spd. auto. Engine started and ran really rough then stopped altogether. no code, Shifter locked in park, battery good, cranked over easy but no go. Checked spark, strong, with gas smell from plug\head. All fuses good. a "chattering" seems to be coming from the locking mechanism on the shifter. Still no code, though I did notice when the code reader was plugged in and key turned to start, no chattering. Yep, I cranked it over and it started no problem and drives normally as long as the reader is plugged in. It finally threw a P1297 ELD low voltage, but with strong battery and alt, plus tranny lock-out, suspect something more sinister. Appreciate any direction to the correct thread, or insights to this issue
