(to adjust the tension on the belt(where you screw the tension bolt into)....what do i have to do? get a new/used alternator? or (doubt it) is there some sort of way i can put it back on?
Help??...or flame plz

If you attempted to adjust the alternator position w/o loosening the alternator pivot bolt, and the tensioner lock nut then you may have damaged the bolt (sheared head off, etc).
You will need to remove the alternator (disconnect battery first!) before removing the adjuster mechanism to repair.
If this is a spring-loaded tensioner, then the tensioner can be replaced.
good luck

The adjuster lock nut is very difficult to access and can be rounded easily. I had to use a "rounded nut/bolt remover" from craftsman on mine. Since then I use an offset closed end 12mm to reach the awkward nut. Don't overtighten and it's much easier next time.
