is there a way to adjust the high lights on a 97 CL?

 

I have an 01 CL and i noticed when i have it on high beam not only does it light up the road real good but there is a beam from each side shooting up lighting up the trees about 40 ft high. I thought that was a waste of light that could light up lower in front instead of lighting up the 4th floor of the building.

I will interested in hearing the fix on this one.
