So i installed a short ram intake on my 97 CL 3.0 and I take a few test runs and everything is working out fine. A little while later i drive to the store and park when i return to the car and start it up CEL comes on and so does ABS. The ABS has engaged and the car won't go out of park.

wow, my ABS light comes on every now and then but it doesn't effect anything like that, just the ABS is not working but it still stops. Did you stick something in the slot to unlock the shifter and see if it would move then?. I know when my dash messed up it blew a fuse and I couldn't get it to go in gear until I changed that fuse. The CEL may have come on then as well, don't remember. But try checking all the fuses under the hood and at the kick panel and see if something there is blown. Mine kept blowing as soon as I would crank the car but would stay running but I had to unlock the shifter to get it to go into gear so I could get it home

Yeah i had to put something into the shifter to get home as well. i haven't checked all the fuses just yet though. i took off the intake in the parking lot and installed the factory one. it's crazy that the abs engaged like it did.

i found out that the brake light switch can inhibit car from going into gear from park

that makes sense and may be one thing the fuse that blew controls. I am guessing it will cause the ABS light or at least the brake light to come on if this is a problem also
