99 cl 3.0-clunks in reverse?
Problem just started recently and does not do it all the time. We have a 1999 Acura CL 3.0 with only 42,000 miles (yes checked car fax-1 owner true miles). When going from park into reverse the car sometimes makes a clunk with a slight jerking. Took it to STS Auto and of course they could not duplicate the noise after several trys. However when we got home it did it. Could it be the reverse gear going bad? Before we bought the car the transmission had already been rebuilt for the 2nd gear. We just bought the car in March 2010. We had diagnostic check done on the car in March and everything came back fine. What could the problem be?
Is the car usually parked on a hill when it happens? Because my driveway is a hill and all the cars in my household (Similar '99 3.0CL, Toyota Highlander, GMC Sierra) do it when they are shifted from Park to Reverse
