99 2.3 cl stuck in 4th, anyone know about this issue?

99 2.3 cl stuck in 4th, anyone know about this issue?
Moms car is stuck in 4th gear. Her mechanic replaced A and B (sylenoids ?)
She has to take it to the acura dealer now. Anyone ever had this experience or something similiar.
