98 CL Where do I get radio codes?

98 CL Where do I get radio codes?

I just had my baby worked on had to get that damn recalled ignition switch taken care of...now i get a message that says CODE I tried to put in some random numbers and now it say err- can anyone help??????

you need the security code. you can try calling the dealer for it or you may be able to find it somewhere in the car. common places are behind the ash tray, under the cup holder, or inside the fuse box under the hood. search through some old threads. this has been discussed numerous times. you should be able to find some answers there. good luck.

I think its also under your middle console arm rest cover also. Well at least thats where I found mine.

try the glove box and the inside fuse box panel ( near your left foot dummy pedal/clutch pedal )

I tried the all the areas suggested but to no avail...where in the fuse box by the dummy pedal should I be looking I took the cover off but I didnt see any numbers there...

Mine was on the fuse box cover in the engine bay.

if you tried all areas ( you should see a sticker that has the code, you'll know it if you see it)
you're gonna have to pull the radio out and get the serial number off it. You gotta get with a dealer and have them retrieve the code for you. I had to bring mine to the dealer when the fixed the EGR valve, and they did it for cheap.

Plus, they broke my center dash piece ( wood trim ) and replaced that for free, which is cool, it was all scratched up anyways

they broke my center wood piece too and replaced it. Be careful removing that piece its obviously not all that strong.
