98 2.3 Power Steering.

I had my uncle replace the the belt that goes to the alternator. He had to remove the power steering belt to get to it, in the progress the power steering pump was lowering down so he hit it with something to make it start lowering. ANYWAYS, after that was done we got the belt on and everything... Power steering stopped functioning, it just keeps making A LOT of noise and when I fill it up it just drains back down. What caused this? Was it cause he hit it? Also, what can I do to fix it or what should I look for? Thanks a lot.

are all the hoses connected? you may have knocked a hose loose.. not sure why it would drain right back out unless it's leaking from somewhere.

oh and make sure you're using honda power steering fluid. You shouldn't use regular power steering fluid.

I dont see any loose hoses. I check them all out. I even drained the fluid and replaced it with lucas PS anti leak. Still loud... The pump is making a loud noise and the PS keeps making bubbles. Could it be the pump itself? Or is it an O ring?
