Hello All,

With no warning or symptoms engine wouldn't start when I left work. If I hold pedal down it will start but won't idle. No other known problems.Runs great off idle.No check engine light.

I haven't checked for codes yet, I'm thinking with no check engine light on there won't be any fault codes available.

Is it the IAC valve? What diagonstics can I do to make sure?
I don't want to start buying parts that I don't need.

I appreciate any help.

well as for the IAC, is sounds like it could be but dont worry about buying anything expensive all you need it a can of throtle body cleaner and time to take it off and clean it, its your best first shot. is your air cleaner plugged??? pluggs and wires???? just askin cause your symptoms are kinda like a severly un tuned car, if not and you tuned it up then diregard.

 

Car runs normal off idle.I'll take off the IAC and clean it thanks

 

check conections to things to, something might just be loose.
