5spd not shifting into gears when cold start up?
ok so i started the car this morning... didnt go into any gears at all... i thought maybe it was warmin up so i waited... soo now its warmed up and it still didnt get into any gears... i had to push realy hard as possible to get it in... eventualy it got looser and looser and now it works fine.......... soo the day befor had the same problem but wasnt as bad.... could this be because of bad transmission fluid?? has anybody else experienced this problem? oh yeah my cars 1997 2.2cl.

doesnt explain why i cant shift into any gears.. i pulled down the 2nd gear in realy hard and the car seemed to roll forward a tiny bit.. but its not suposed to move with the clutch in.. weird... though i pulled the 2nd gear in realy hard i didnt pull it all the way in and it still rolled a tiny bit which means the clutch isnt workin after the car started (i may be wrong, this is what im jus geussing?)

Problem sounds like either bad slave cylinder (front of engine below the distributor) or master cylinder (connected to clutch pedal on firewall). I recently had both go out on my daughter's 97 Acura 2.2CL. Go w/ OEM master cylinder for sure. Slave you can go aftermarket as it's readily accessible.
good luck
