Motor cranks over but will not start. Spark plugs and fuel pump pressure are OK. Any advice appreciated. Periodically the car starts with a different key and will run for 10 days and then the key is not recognized by the computer.

Dealer cannot locate problem. The CL starts whenever the dealer gets it to test.

 

i have a '98 CL and the same thing just happened to me .

The key light was flashing in the dash , motor turning over but would not start .
I tried my spare keys same problem .
Disconnected the battery lead to reset the computer and still wouldn't start .
While i was turning the ignition key ( the key light was flashing ) a friend of mine gave a yank on the throttle cable and it started !!

He owns a BMW and has the same intermittent problem ...To be continued !

I still have not been able to figure it out. Surprisingly it is working for now. But I am not confident it will not occur again.
