01 cl overheating

I have an 01 cl and it keeps overheating. Fans work everything seems to work but I can’t seem to find the bleeder for air in the cooling system. Kid before me put cold air intake on the car and unfortunately finding parts that are oem in Oklahoma is dang near impossible. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no specific coolant air bleeder valve, using something like below will help get any trapped air along with squeezing the upper hose.
You may be able to find cheaper ones for like under $20 on the inter webs?

First you need to determine if the 01 CL is a CL-P (Premium) or a CL-S (Sport).
Find the OEM part numbers, using the link below, for the air box components you need and search the web?

Omg thank you so much now a bigger question??? How do I tell if my water pump is working correctly. lol sorry I picked this car out for my boss he bought it after I test drove it and then when he was ready to sale it I was the only one he sold it to due to me being in love with these cars. And it’s got the sport shift in it. Sorry I jump back and forth a lot. I should have known that a $100 dollar car it was going to be a big investment in the long run it runs fairly good when it runs. Is it possible to bypass the thermostat to see if the water pump is actually working or do I do that by leaving thermostat in???! Thank you for answering my questions.

The water pump (red arrows) is driven by the timing belt (yellow arrow).
If there is not a major leak of coolant on the passenger side of the engine, where the WP lives, or visible oil in the coolant reservoir, (blown head gasket) then there potentially is an air pocket somewhere in the coolant system, especially if the coolant / radiator / rad. hose has been changed recently?
Bleeding the system properly will hopefully remove any trapped air and solve the over heating.
If the check engine light is on, get the ECM read to see what codes show up (local Autozone) to give any further ideas as to what direction to take.

The #3 water pump circulates coolant via the #11 connecting pipe over to the #8 water passage where the #5 thermostat assembly lives within the #7 thermostat cover.
