i thought cl drivers would be smarter than to run a redlight with a child in the car, and a firetruck heard close by

I believe the child you are referring to is the 11 year old that did not make it.

Why the hell would they call it a spectacular crash? See the first paragraph. Thats a horrible choice of a word.

You always yield to emergency. They are not at all to blaime. Reguardless what color the light was, it was her fault. It sucks, but it should teach her to pay more attention to her surroundings.

I can hear those emergencys a distance away with my stereo up, so its not like she didnt hear it. I really feel bad for her family having just lost a child, but come on. The fire department is not at all to blaime here.

I can tell you aren't a parent since you imply that having your child killed is a way to teach you to pay attention. It's not a lesson, it's a tragedy. Accidents happen, and this is a tragic accident no matter what the circumstances were. And who really cares what kind of car it was?

Too bad I am a parent. Which means, I drive with A LOT of caution when she is in my car. If i hear sirens, I am looking around to see where they are. Not trying to beat a light. In case you didnt read what I wrote, I said that I did feel bad. But the firetruck is not to blaime here. She should have looked around for the sirens. Its not like they are quiet. She NEGLECTED to yield to an emergency vehicle.

anybody would go crazy if their kid was killed in something like that. but really she is at fault in this case. I'm not a parent but everytime my gf's babysister is in the car i make sure i drive safely, as long as we get to where we need to be safe. thats all that matter.

This was a tragedy, and actually, in my opinion, the link should not have been placed in the first place.

well it was probably green when she went, and then the firetruck made it into a red, because emergency vehichles such as firetrucks, ambulances can switch a green light to all the lights as red lights, but she should have heard the truck coming
