And then my acura broke, and the CV joint was on the ground

Damn Chris, that sucks... I'm kind of glad I didn't drive all the way over there, but it looks like it was a pretty decent turnout... Maybe the next meet could be closer to Columbus or something.

I thought I had problems this morning when I heard a bad scrapping sound in the right front. Then later, I got some bad wheels shake from one of the front wheels. Come to find out I had 3 of 4 lug nuts loose on the right front wheel... That pretty well scared the piss outta me, but it looks like you had a much worse day...

Joint just snapped, luckily it was in a parking lot and not on the highway

I know the ABS light is on, it's almost always on

Was planning to pay to get them mounted, balanced and an allignment, but that money is going to pay for a tow and new axle

Nope , shop was about to close so they just towed it and locked it up till Monday At least it's not my DD

His GTI is so sexy, I love that car, got to ride in it for 2 hours on the way home

Yeah, so my camera was in AV mode the whole time so all of my pictures turned out really shitty

haha my car looks so good moving. and i really didnt realize how close my fender is to my tire. TIME to get 17's and go lower. ahaha. it was a great time chris and i threw around the idea of doing this every year for a GTG im so down for it. if you have any input let us know we both are going to start setting it up.

I was this close to throwing the lips on for this meet too, thankfully I left them in the box and didn't bother, or I would have had to rip at least the front lip off to get it on the flatbed

Haha I know. Oh well, you know I don't want any pictures of my car how it is now anyway. I'm going to try to and fix the remainder of the pictures using photoshop at some point. It was definitely a good time. Was it worth the 365 miles I put on my car? Yeah I think so. It needs to be bigger next time!!

Picked up the car last night, good as new, I'll throw some pics up in a bit of the broken axle. Left work at 4 PM got home with the ack at 11:40 PM needless to say, it was a LONG night

Yeah, no way I was getting home on this, I couldn't even make it around the parking lot on it

Broke apart from the inside, you can see the last bearing on the ground, it was still in the axle when I got there, but it fell out when he was showing it to me


Yeah....


Also, he was unable to get my lower balljoint out, so he had to bust that out and replace it as well, you can see it laying next to the axle.

Damn, I missed a good meet. But after driving to Chicago the weekend before, I couldn't justify it to myself, especially now that I'm only getting 1/2 my hours at work... Glad your car's back up and going Chris, now get some of those other parts installed...
