Engine bays... post them pics...
I decided to make an engine bay thread for everyone to post pics of their engine bays. This can be used for people to get ideas or just to see how f-ing clean theres SHOULD be... See, I've searched to find pics of engine bays but have to go from thread to thread and since there is not just one thread dedicated to bays... I'll start it off with a dirty, work-in-progress...
And again... sorry about the blurry
Cleaned the battery... (sorta)
and another of the Valve cover...

Early stages:
1200 deg ceramic primer, gloss black paint and clear coat:
The painted trim, engine needs cleaned more:
Letters need painted, and new chrome A needs installed, got more to do first
Still under construction, new radiator and tranny cooler:
Stay tuned, lots more work being done in the EB, more work done to engine trim, more painting of parts and battery trays, painting a/c condensor, new radiator overflow tank, tb spacer, new igntion system, strut bar, UR pullies, Yellow Top Optima will return, new batt terminals, big 3 black 4 gauge wire kit for charging wires, V 6 P ground kit, ceramic headers, the list goes on.
And as always, a few surprises

First stages w/CAI, MSD ignition, Hottwires, 4 awg power wire for amps
Now here are some pictures with the headers. This is pretty much how she looks now. I don't really have any more plans with her besides finish the outside (front lip, painted stock sides, and rear lip)

If I was would it start some sort of turf war between J-series and the 2.3L powerplant? Relax.
I was making a joke. Multiple people with inline-4 cylinder motors said they did or did not have "headers". Headers being plural. An inline-4 cylinder motor only has one header.

I used a tire brush, tooth brush, microfiber towels. Removed all plastic pieces and intake box and cleaned them seperately. This obviously allows better access to hard to reach places. I used diluted simple green only as a degreaser since it wasn't that dirty to begin with. Then armol tire foam to clean and shine at the end. I used alot of it, pretty much the whole can. After cleaning with simple green, i sprayed the entire engine with foam, let sit, brushed then sprayed off. I then worked in small sections of the engine bay to ensure i didn't miss much. I'd spray that area with foam clean it with the toothbrush then spray off, repeat until entire engine is cleaned. Finally spray the whole engine down with tire foam (Until you can barely see it) and let it site for a few hours. I then went back with a clean micro fiber town and wiped down the whole engine so it wasn't too too shine.
