I was thinking about buying the apexi vafc will it work on a 97 2.2cl. If any of u have it how do it work. thanks

 

the vafc messes around with your air fuel ratios in different rpm ranges, you need to take it to your local dyno to tune in, i have on on my 97 3.o and i love it, but then again its a 3.0 and automatic. autos and mans are way different, ask niedjeb i think he has one in his car. i think you should wait on it and get other mods first rather than waste money on a vafc, though it does help with your gas milage and overall power performance of the car but you need more than than, like intake, exhaust and other engine parts to better tune the vafc to get better performance. i got mine on accident and found it at a local place on the street in a bag, it looked like someone bought it and placed it on top of their car and drove off. lucky me huh? oh welll i would have bought one anways eve if i didnt find it,cause its the best thing i have put on my car yet.

 

what's the difference in the vacf and a v-tec controller or are the two basically the same?
