Winter MPG
Winter MPG
since the winter months are upon us now (some of us at least) I've noticed a significant drop in my MPG. i know there are a lot of factors that contribute to lower MPG figures in the winter but my question is HOW MUCH are people losing in the winter...mine takes a pretty sharp nose dive from 420 miles per tank in the summer to approx 375 in the winter.
not sure how cold it gets there, but i know up here in toronto, they start changing the additives in the fuels in the pumps when temps drop below 10 C . with winter tires and the fuel, im loosing from 50 to 100 km per tank now.
I'm lucky if I get 180 miles out of 10 gallons nowadays, especially if I use the AC a lot for the defroster (winter climates)...whereas summer I could get about 220 miles out of that same 10 gallons. All city driving.
Oh well.
Oh well.
