do you guys know how to install sony radio to my harness i got all the speaker wires to match up wtih color but i cant get the power and illumination ones right anyone know the right colors on the 97 without bose. also i dissconected the radio now the clock dosent work any idea ???

 

did you use a jumper harness? or are you hardwiring it?

 

The clock and radio are on the same fuse

Pretty sure Mitch posted the colors in your other thread, but it's the same as 94-97 accord, that should be easy to google

 

If the radio works, but the clock doesn't, then it's the connection in the back of the clock. If neither work, then it's probably the fuse.

Connect like colors. If there isn't a wire on one side or the other, you don't need it. Hell, I only use 3 wires on the car side of the harness when I wire up hu's for the Acura. Everything else is RCA wires to the amps. IIRC, my 98 doesn't have illumination. So if there's no orange wire on the car harness (I don't think there is) then you won't hook it to anything. Just leave it dangling, tape it up, whatever you want to do with it.

And are you talking constant 12v (yellow) or switched 12v (red) when you say power? Either way, both harnesses should have both wires, and you just connect like colors...
