I decided i didnt really like the chrome window trim, so i think Im gonna paint it black. I took some comparison pics. I used electrical tape to see what the black would look like

the parts where i took time to tape up actually look really nice, if it wouldnt come off in the rain/while washing, I'd keep the tape on!

 

dude ive used gorilla glue tape for weeks until i finally got the time to paint mine. honestly, it looked good with the tape on, if i didnt have the time to paint it, or had been so bored.. i would have left it on haha.

 

I like that look, it would look good painted with some tints and a blackhousing to accent the black

 

yeah i just did a few tests with water and soap and stuff and its holding up fine. Im gonna leave it on, ill take it off if and when i paint it. getting the corner is a bit tricky though, gonna redo it carefully. Gonna do the grill, too.

I was thinking about blackhousing the headlights, but I kinda like the clean look. Maybe later on. eBay has 1g CL spoilers for $50, prepainted with factory color, gonna get that when i have the money

 

... i dont believe that, not without shipping at least. most of the ebay ones i see are 119 + extra for the paint.

also, painting your grill is easy as fuck, its four nuts on the underside of the hood and it pops right off, dont even bother taping it.

 

its the truth i saw a bunch of oem brand new painted for 60 bucks shipped trying to find the link now.

That trim is what makes the car shine look at most high end cars infiniti Acura Lexus most of them have this trim.

Please stop the rice!!! Live it alone if you want to be different keep it clean not Racing stripes or painted stocks or painting the chrome trim

i agree, the chrome didnt sit well with what im going for.

 

i think it looks good. i had been thinking about doing the same. Chrome looks good on my truck but i didnt think the chrome trim looks good on my car. Im sure some would say me painting my fake woodgrain the same color as the car was a sin too. In the end do what you think looks good for the style your going with.
