Magnaflow Exhaust Does Not fit 98 Cl 3.0

Hello

I am pretty new to the forum but I have sent a lot of time on here and customizing my car and I just felt like this should be posted because I could not find this info. Also I am sorry if I am not putting this in the right area. (please correct me if I'm wrong)

So I ordered a magnaflow exhaust for my 98 CL 3.0, just like the noob guide said I ordered one for a 94-97 accord. And to my surprise It didn't fit. Here is my issues:

1) the resonator pipe is too long, and needs to be cut, not a big deal

2) the "S" bend behind the muffler is really too long and needs to be cut and bent. Thats where the big problem comes in. They have flanges so you cut a section pipe without welding it back together. and it needs to be bent so unless you have a bender you have to take it somewhere.

3) so once all that is together and everything fits the hanger are no longer in the right position.

So like I said I just wanted to put this up there so people were aware of this I bought this exhaust to be a quick replacement that I could do my self, and now I am having issues. Also no one else put that info up and I read that a couple people have magnaflow so I could be wrong or you guys figured out how to do something I didn't. feedback would be awesome

I would venture to guess 100% of EVERY CL that has exhaust is custom brotha... not to sound like a douche.. but unless that catalog says "ACURA CL" rather than "Honda ACCORD" there will most likely be some modification. Take her to a shop man, thats what the exhaust guys are for! just sayin...

F22 and J30 are 2 different worlds. F22 Accord and CL may be exactly the same, but v6 Accord and CL differ more I would guess.

the differances are suttle enough that to someone doing exhaust in their garage its a problem but to your local exhaust shot its no thang. i love working on my cl, ive done so much little stuff its not worth mentioning but some stuff like the cams and exhaust its better to pay someone to do it.

what im going to do is go the the strip this summer, for like $60 i can run 3 quarter mile run's. im going to get my buddy to film it and i will post the results, keep in mind i have a test pipe cat and no resonator. a high flow cat and resonator would quiet it up a little. stay tuned.
