Lower Ball Joint DIY?
Im planning on replacing my lower ball joints becasue i can't find someone to do it for cheap. So im wondering if anyone has done a DIY thread on this. I've looked everywhere on the site but i couldn't find one. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Those were the easier of them. I paid my buddy $50 to do it, and after seeing him do it I thought I paid too much.
I took the whole spindle off, it makes it a WACK load easier. Same with removing the hub and rotor and all that jazz and then you are free to torch and slam that sucker out.

Here is what I did:
Put car in clean and cold ass weather free zone.
Jack up car and put safely on stands
Take off wheel, inspect everything first, and also lube up any nuts that look like they will be a PITA to get off... ex. All of them.
Take off the caliper, so 14mm is needed here, hang it with a bungee cord, or disconnect the brake line if you are comfortable in bleeding them later to get it out of the way.
It was a 17mm for the steering rack, the lower and upper ball joints as well as I ended up just taking out the upper control arm for ease of taking it off.
Remove 36mm axle nut. Take whole spindle off.
Then you have to remove the 4 nuts holding the hub and wheel bearing in a bit, not all the way. Look up the brake pads and rotor DIY to remove the rotor with some tricks.
For lower, its so much easier. All I did was torch the crap out of it, then take a nice BFH and slam it out. Cleaned up all the area and greased it. Then put the new ball joint in and make sure it was flush with the lower part of the spindle. Put the locking clip on and put everything back together and tight.
Thats about it really, if you take a good look you will see how it all works. You can do it with the spindle on the car, but I found its so much easier off the car and on the work table or desk to just access it.
ALSO another tip. If your bolts for say steering rack and all are stuck, leave the nut on a bit and hammer it from the side to knock them loose, never ever hammer right on the bolt, it will mess up your threads bad.
