Intake Manifold/ Throttle Body Gasket Replacement

Car: 1998 Acura CL 3.0
I'm going to be replacing my intake manifold gasket, and all throttle body/ spacer gaskets comming up this week. Has anyone done this before? Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Am I going to need sealant for certain gasket/ mating surfaces? Thank you!

So they sent me the wrong IM gasket. it was in two pieces, 3 holes in each. Maybe for the second Gen. CL's? I dunno..Anyway, is there a certain time that IM gaskets should be changed on these first gen CL's? I just put the old one back on because that was the only thing that I could do. But is there a regular time interval Honda/Acura gives for IM gasket change?

I have never heard of one, but if you start getting a leak then I would change it. It may be just a vacuum leak which causes loss of power or high rpm's idling but if you experience any of those I would change it

I ran into this same problem, i have posted a message about this, i am unsure about it.
What i have gathered so far is that there is a Top gasket set and a Bottom Gasket set for the intake manifold casings.

The Top gasket set is for the manifold top piece with all 6 ports in it. The manifold piece that u take off that the throttle body mounts to, that manifold casing with the 6 cylinder ports is the piece that gets mounted to the other complimentary 6 ports of the bottom manifold casing (below this is the block) gets bolted together, while the 6 holed gasket gets sandwiched in between.

The Bottom Gasket set which has 2 pieces in that set with each gasket piece with 3 holes in it.

If anyone can answer this, it would be awesome, thank you..

If one is looking for the gasket for the intake manifold, it is called the plenum gasket set.

Fel-Pro - Plenum Gasket Set
Part Number: MS96167

This gasket is from Oreillys auto.
