3.0 swap in a 2.2

I'm wondering if the J30A1 engines have the same mounts as a 2.2?

I've been contemplating doing this swap if it works out.

Your feedback is appreciated!

Different mounts, also the crossmembers are different due to the mounting points for the motor mounts. Also, you would have to change out or rewire a decent amount of things.

Yeah I assumed it wouldn't be worth it haha. I was looking up what transmissions would bolt to a J30 and I found thread where some stated that the 03 CL-S trannys would work (6spd), 04-08 TL 6 spd, and the 03-07 Accord EX-L 6spd.

And even that isn't just plug and play, it will just bolt up, there is allot of other crap that has to be done before its a actual "swap"

Actually, the bell housings for the tl were different in 07. So the tl tranny would be only until 06. To top that off, if you were wanting to go 6 speed it would require a lot more work to get it functioning properly. The 03 cl ecu would be a necessity at that point. Then you have a whole new list of things to wory about.

I don't know who has seen this on ebay but I decided to order it. It will make the situation easier instead of fabbing up a downpipe.

With the module RichieV6 made I don't think you would need to swap the ECU any longer unless your car is already a manual, then well I may be wrong

Since he's running a 2.2 a new ecu would be required. I suggested the 03 because it would not require the RichieV6 module in addition.... there is also the 03+ AV6 6MT ecu..... at some point I want to do this with my 93 Accord so I have done quite a bit of research...... have most of the logistics worked out, just need the money.......

Here's the link to the manifold and stuff:

If that doesnt work just type in "accord downpipe"
