Does anyone know of a local place in Toronto that sells #74 bulbs? (led or not) I got everything I need except for that one little bulb! Canadian Tire has ordinary white #74 bulbs but not blue ones which is what I need.

Shieet that's pretty far away from where I live (North York) for a damn bulb. I guess I could just Google 'performance auto stores' or something and find one that's closer... didn't think about that before.

we'll see, i might be able to one up you. Those fuckers are bright hows night driving ? I'm debating about changing the lights up top, that shine on the gauges, but probably not. BTW did you use a led or blue incendecent bulb for the 80mph mark?

SupraManAG dont take this the wrong way, but that looks like a lot of front lighting and would cause eye strain when driving long distances. Just one mans opinion, but looks bright as hell

Not so sure this is correct, popped mine off and its a flat surface mounted led already in there, no way in hell a #74 bulb will fit in the ignition key ring

Radioshack doesn't have anything useful except: sodering gun, .22gauge soder, and 1/4 watt 470 ohm carbon film resistors ( Not surface mounts)

Anyone know what size the 2 small bulbs at the top of the speedo are? I tried to pull the bulbs out of the plastic socket, but I'm afraid that they will break.

OK. Thanks. Those were the ones I was talking about. The two that illuminate the needles from the front. I think they also are tied into the Cruise Control because that isn't working either!

I was able to get the black housing out, but I couldn't get the bulbs out of the housing itself. I will try this again this weekend.

yeah, those two just twist out. look at SupraManAG's picture above - he put LED's in, very clean light, looks very bight. I know if you disconnect your dimmer switch then alot of the lights done work.

I got the instrument panel done, now I want to do more.

Has anyone been able to change the bulbs in these switches: Cruise, Sunroof, Dimmer, Foglights, heated seats? If so, what size bulbs go in there? I pulled the cruise control switch and those bulbs are tiny, but I can't tell what to replace them with 3mm, 5 mm?

Also, Anyone changed the lights in the climate control module?

Yes i have, i dont have fog lights thought. You have to get your hands on some 3mm LED's of your choice and 1/4 watt 470 ohm resistors. Get your Sodering gun ready.

see this thread. Its my on going project

http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=181564

and heres a small DIY for the security LED

http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=181599

Welcome to the addiction. Its not hard, just alot of time and patience and a steady hand.

Cool. Can't wait to see pic's of your car when you are done.

Do you know how many bulbs need to be purchased/ change? I know the cruise control has 2, but one of them looks to have pretty long contacts.

I think the fog is 1, heated seats - 2 each, fog lights 2 also. What about the Climate control? How many bulbs?

Finally, did you use gels, filters or the Dasani trick for the clock and Temp display?

I brought up an old thread from when DanMan did these LED changes to his car. He was also selling the LED's for a while. I wish I had seen that a few years ago!
