??? on WW lip

i am planning on getting the lip. Gotta few questions tho. When u install the lip, is it "sealed" with the factory bumper. Im worried about when i wash it or when it gets dirty...the water/dirt will build up between the lip and the bumper and maybe water will fall inside behind the lip and after a while it will cause permenent stain or discolor if u decide to remove the lip later. kinda like the bra for the front end( how water gets trapped under it messing up ur paint) i have a black car and its hard to get perment water spots off. I just dont want any waterstains or dirt stains if i take the lip off to sell the car. Anyone get what im saying?? Any ideas??

Once you get it on there, its not coming off without a lot a lot of work. You will probably screw your bumper up just trying to take it off. Why would you want to remove it anyway? JMO

I dont think there is anyway dirt is going to stain your car, especially a black car. Maybe if you dont wash it for 6 years.

It's just like anyone else's bodykits. They all have to worry about the same things too so I'm sure it will be okay. You could always do what I'm doing which is molding the lip onto the bumper. No dirt that way!

Does anybody know how much that usually runs to get a bumper or sideskrts molded on?

I doubt the molding costs too much but the problem is you probably need to get the bumper repainted. I got an estimate just to get the front bumper repainted and it was $250.

Oh what exactly is the point of molding the front lip on? I can see if they made it so that the lip was smooth where it met the bumper but in the few pics i have seen of the molded lip (like BlazinCL's) it looks exactly the same as how i put mine on (tape and screws)?

I haven't gotten mine done yet becuase I'm waiting for my new bumper to arrive. My bumper had a few dings in it and a part that was chipped from the front license plate so I got a new bumper. It's going to cost me about $150 to get the lip molded on and both painted.

The point to having it molded is just that it's simply different! and not put on by tape and screws.

As soon as it's put on I'll take pics and post them.

I guess its different, too bad no one will know its different (unless you are having it molded differently than the other CL'ers.)
