hey wsup guys i was heading out to school this morning when i happend to run into a srt-4 he as i was getting over to avoid traffic i notice him leaning into the lane i was in as i hopped over to the far right he followed on me my tail this time *jumping from far left to far right of the highway* as this happens i drop it to 3rd and vtecs kickin i double to pull on him as im pulling he pulls in the lane next to me by this time im in 4th around 8 grand but nooooOOOo.... were run into traffic...but as much as we raced i take it as i took him............we exited off the same exit and he was askin me wat i had i jes told him all motor........

I saw a stock SRT-4 run a 14.6 at the track

 

pretty much. although the mopar drag srt is crazy

 

and my friend with i/e and wastegate ran a 13.2. They are low 14 high 13 stock if you can drive them.

Duece- you kept up with an srt-4 and you lost to an h23 prelude? WTF did the prelude have done to it?? With the mods you have listed you shoud be able to keep up with a bone stock srt-4 i think. Godd kill.

duece- now that i think about it, that guy in the srt must have sucked at driving, cause you ain't got 220 whp and they do. and whoever said that srt's are heavy they weigh 2,588 lbs!! thats about as much as a civic coup or gsr!!!

I can keep with the SRT-4, but I can't beat it (not yet). This is both on the track and on the street. We're pretty even. It's driver dependent.

Well I got a 3.0 so sucks for me. I'll be with the slower cars.

 

220 hp with a turbo is not impressive. I've got the same hp and I'm n/a. Come on, it's a glorified Neon thats uglier than normal Neon's. Sure their fast but my top end is quicker. Your right about the mods though. WRX's and SRT-4's w/mods get fast real quick. Those are the ones you gotta watch out for. I gotta race my friends WRX after I get my motor mount inserts. It's got an intake. I'll bet you $20 bucks I yank it in 3rd gear.

yeah but thats 220 whp, and even more torque to the wheels. You probably have around 185-190whp. thats kinda alot for a stock 4 banger. Infact i believe they are the fastest stock 4 cylinder you can buy. I've watched stock for stock ones cream s2000's.

i bet you'll stomp your buddies wrx too. they are not half as fast as the srt's on topend.

Not without a built tranny. I got a quote already for the turbo, but I'm reluctant to do it because of our weak tranny's.

Basically, It would cost me 6,000+ $4000 for the bulletproof tranny, and 2,000 for the turbo setup. I don't feel like throwing that much into the car rite now.

The only time I got into it with an SRT-4 is on the frwy. This fool flew up on me and wanted a piece badly. So I let him have it. He passed me up and I gunned it and pulled up on him without even dropping a gear. With both of us dropping it down a gear, I still pulled him. He was pissed and flipped me off. Still, its got some dukes but I wasnt impressed. I garantee you that my motor set up puts at least 200 to the wheels. I have just about 235 to the crank. I may not have a shitload of hp but my gear ratio's make up for it most of the time.
