Wrecked my cl..
and just not sure if it worth the money to fix, its a 1997 with 160k. Im looking at around $500-750 in parts to fix not counting labor and paint if I take it somewhere. With a quick search I have seen these cars are selling for around 3k some higher, some lower.
Can any money be made parting one out to make it worth doing? The car was just my commuter/work car so its not exactly needed.
I guess the rambling in this post boils down to, if it were your car what would you do in this situation.

People around here don't know how to follow rules, I removed several vulture requests for parts. If you're going to part the car, please do so here

Personally I think it's worth it to fix if you can find a hood cheap, try car-parts.com they have local search through junkyards. Damage isn't that bad at all

Its already torn down, pretty much fender, obviously the hood ,drivers side bulkhead and headlight were the major pieces, luckily the bumper was just scratched minorly. New replacements comes to around 750ish and then theres a few odds and ends for about another 75. If I can find a decent used hood for a fair price that would be great and make the decision to fix it easier.
Mods sorry if this post caused problems, if I do decide to part it out I will be sure and place the post in the correct area.

Are you using a fake age? $1200 a year w/ a $500 deductible sounds like something you'd pay if you were under 24 years old.
Since the car is probably worth about $2500 in its current condition, it's a tough call. Depends on how much you like the car and if you have something else to drive in meantime.

As far as liking the car, Im not in love with it by any means, but I like it keeping miles off my truck.

You would be surprised how the damage range of a deer run in can be. I had a dodge intrepid when I was like 17 and I had a giant buck ram the side of the car (I got hit instead of hitting the deer :P) anyway my side view mirror sucked up nearly the entire impact and it broke off and I just had some minor scratches in the clear from the antlers. The side view literally took basically the entire force of getting head butted by a buck.
