Wrecked the CL :(
Bad News...
My baby got in an accident, the front end is pretty screwed up. My brakes went out and I rear-ended a dodge dakota. The air bags didn't go off because it was low speed, but i need a new hood, bumper, radiator, headlight housings, top radiator support and a few other odds and ends. My poor car is sitting in a tow yard about 100 miles away from my house. I'm meeting the insurance guy there on thursday.
now, onto the good news...
i decided to have it repainted a different color when fixed. my color of choice is Lexus Intensa Blue pearl. Its the blue color the only use on IS 300s. What do you guys think?
I am also interested in Headlight Eyebrows...anyone know where I can get them?
Anyone know of anywhere to get CL parts cheap? or does anyone have stock bumpers laying around? I will buy them gladly.
Also, If anyone has headlight assemblies, I want those to.
Does anyone make bodykits for the first gen yet?
And finally, anyone in Sacramento area who would like to give me a hand with some of the work?
Thanks Much,
Brian

damn, that sux to see another CL bite the dust. Post some pics of the damage, and maybe a couple of us could help out. Personally, I've got a pair of stock amber turn signals, and I'll be up in Davis (right next to Sacramento) from the 4th to the 10th of August. Hit me back, if ya need 'em.

Hope your ready for a shock when the original owner of my 2.3 rear ended a toyota avalon doing 20 it caused $4,800 worth of damage because of those damn crumple zones, no damage to the engine or drive train but it needed new hood new radiator new side panels new grill etc painting labor, be preparred man its expensive, good luck with insurance. Try to get an NSX or S2000 for a rental car.

It's not a navy blue, or maybe I'm just color blind. I have never seen a CL this color and I got a killer deal on the paint through a friend.

if you like the color, go for it.. that's all it matters. I think the guys are still trying to put the kit together.
as far as light housing, do it w/ the black trim thing. i think it'll be hot. or somehow jack up the insurance claim and custom made some projection headlights. That will be much much better.

my friend wanted to get the same color that you chose.. but i looked through the color books and found something even nicer than the is300 blue. the blue ont he is300 is not a metallic color, it doesn't have those little metal flakes to make it sparkle. if you look into the FIAT section. sounds bootleg since they don't erally sell them over here, but they have a nicer blue there. it's FIAT LANCIA something.. i forget the rest, but it's an incredibly nice color. you will not regret taking my 2cents... check it out for yourself. my friends car looks incredibly sick with that color. another color that i would consider is Acura Anthracite Metallic. i saw this bad boy TL in it at the showroom the other day... my god... definitly one of the nicest colors around

Bad News: My deal on the paint fell through.
Good News: New 3 coat color, 3 coat clear coat black paintjob
I met with the insurance adjuster today and he got me an estimate of 7500 dollars repair work so i had it towed to S & S collision center in SAC. It should be back in action soon!
