Wow Such Bad Luck!

After my shocks are "shot"...my brother decides to take my car out for a ride...he calls me 20 mins later and says he broke the car...could the shot shock cause a rim to break? he said he was going on the on-ramp to I-5 (probably racing) and the tire is tilted 30 extra degrees (bottom inwards)...would the shockc ause this?

My guess is if the shock was blown, then it would not be absorbing any of the energy of a hard impact (like a pothole). I guess if the impact was hard enough (and their was no absorption by the shock), the tire and wheel would suffering the blow.

Just guessing.

Yeah your bro wrecked your car dude. That has nada to do with a shock. If he did a big ass curb check your shock wouldn't absorb much of that blow even if it was in good condition.
