Just wanted to let you know the awsome gas mileage I've been getting latley. I went 428 miles on a tank and when i filled up i only put 13 gallons in. That means I still had a couple more gallons to go. Just wanted to share

I can't believe you're getting mileage that good! ...i'll assume all highway miles, but damn, that is awesome, especially after you've already put so many miles on it

 

Actually most were city miles. And i consistantly run it to 5 or 6 before i shift. Oh yea the AC was on a few of those days too.

 

I hear ya dude! I go 400+ on one tank regularly & rarely run it to the fuel light coming on (3 gallons left)....17 gallon fuel tanks kick ass!

 

whats the secret? is it cuz of the 4 cylinder? i can go like 360 before the light comes on- usually comes out to about 25mpg. maybe i live in vtec too much?

I use only 93 octane....usually el cheapo @ Sam's Club...it seems to do the trick- if it's all highway miles, i run around 430 or so before wanting to refill.
Maybe you do live in vtec land too often!! 280 seems a little low...

 

shit, try 12mpg for me. i just got myself a kN drop in. will change the fuel filter later. hopefully this will do that trick.

i think i remember someone said that his gas miles got to hell b4 his tranny got messed up. this is true? please don't tell me that. it's kinda slaggish lately. i'm pretty paranoid now.

 

Believe it or not, I get better milage running 89 oct. than the 93 I used to always use. I always get 310-320 miles on a tank (16 gal), 6 cyl, city, and AC always on.
