Wood Steering Wheel

I was thinking of buying one of the new wood/leather steering wheels that are for the TL,CL, and MDX. I was awondering if anyone knows if the wheel will fit the 1st generations. Please let me know. Thanks.

that would be a bad ass upgrade.
although i suspect it is not compatible
with our first gens, otherwise more members

The answer for those who wants to know is...YES it would fit. Only if your CL is a 98 or 99 I believe because the horn isn't on the steering wheel on those model. I have a MDX steering wheel on mine (not wood one). It fits prefect, no problems at all...go it off Ebay for like 10 bucks

well, here are the questions that follow...
are we better off searching ebay for the wood
steering wheel from the MDX?

or pay an arm/leg from the dealer... and how much
would it cost?

I have been searching ebay for awhile for a decent priced wood/leather wheel. The dealer will charge you 4-5 bills for the wheel but it will fit the 98-99 CLs. I hope i can figure out someway to mount my horn buttons in the new wheel. Does anyone know how hard the wheel would be to cut in those locations (3 and 9 position) on the wheel or anywhere else i can put the horn without getting a whole new airbag? Oh you guys know you are just buying the wheel ring and not the air bag and wheel for 4-5 from the dealer, right?

Same here, I wanted a wood steering wheel as well, and bad. I dunno, the wood wheel just says luxury in a way the normal leather ones don't. I saw one one ebay a few weeks ago, the seller was asking like $200 or $300, can't remember, Not sure if anyone bought it either, but I did print it out (its in my glove box) because the seller listed the part number. I figured Acura would charge $500 or so fo it, but I 'm not sure what thats going to come out with instilation. I'm alittle relived though that someone else confirmed it will fit my '99 3.0. Just another item for the want list. I figure the air bag and stuff should fir if the rim does, huh? I dunno, I don't know jack about things like this, but that makes me wonder about the radio controls and the cruise control. But it sounds like it would fit anyway. Anyone have this one their car with the would? Would love to see that.
