Windshield Wiper arm torque on nuts
I had removed the entire arm to strip and repaint black due to the paint coming off. When putting back together, I simply "tightened" the nuts that hold the arm to the car. My wipers seem to skipor jump on the windshield in cold weather. I dont know if I have overtightened the nuts or if I simply need new wipers. Does anybody know if the nuts are supposed to be torqued a specific amount?
Thanks

Good idea to change wiper blades in the fall and spring... cheap insurance against not being able to see well. When I took off my wiper arms, I just tightened till it felt "right". Don't know if there is a specifc torque seting... might call Acura dealer to check.

u prolly stripped out the teeth. a quick way to fix it is to take a piece of aluminum foil (single layer) and wrap it around the stud the arm goes on to. then put the arm back on and tighten it. it doesent get too tight. it sounds like u didnt have it on all the way when u installed it and u didnt tighten it enough. so.. just tighten it to say 20in/lbs and call it the day. holla back.
