windshield washer problem. help.

ok...my passenger side washer works fine, but my drivers side one is only shooting out half as much as it should be. the constantly dirty windsheild is getting to be a pain in the ass, and making it hard to see. I have to make a 6.5 hour trek out to rochester, ny on friday so if anyone could give me any insight it would much appreciated. thanks.

I got wax stuck in my drivers side one...makes it shoot onto the roof haha. Dunno how to get it out really use dish washer soap? Hmm I just thought of that since that strips the wax off of a car could take it off the washer perhaps.

That is all I can think of. Fill washer fluid resovour to the top?

Try a needle or something to clean out the device itself.

DONT CLEAN IT WITH A NEEDLE

I did this and fucked both of mine up, my driver side was not working and i tried cleaning it with a sewing needle, the smallest one possible and it fucked up the whole thing and then being the smart one did the passenger side one too, "just to clean" both of them out to spray nice

now both of them dont spray at all and if they do its only a inch or so

My bad, I did it, and it loosened some of the stuff up. But perhaps it was just luck. The guys at the dealership did it for free for me. I think that there was major debris in the pipes themselves, in the part of the hood that you can't access.

One thing you can do is switch the hoses. This may "blow out" whatever is clogging the bad line/nozzle. Switch the hoses that lead to each nozzle (or simply attach the "good" hose to the "bad" nozzle). Spray fluid a few times and see if this helps clear it out. You can also connect the "bad" hose to the "good" nozzle to check and see where the blackage really is (in the hose or in the nozzle).
