Three weeks ago, i had new glass put in along with paint. They said it wasnt "mexican Glass" and that it will last, but i barely drive these days and already, the glass has small chips in it and i think a small crack !!! ( tiny crack tiny ) How can i know if its ppg ? Do you guys think i can get it replaced with PPG if it isnt through the body shop ? Theres no chips anywere else on the car, not even a scratch !!...yet the windshield is like "wtf"

 

dealership glass is strong, i dont know if its ppg. but if it is there will be a etched logo on it somewhere. i think you got ripped off buddy

 

I dont think the front windshield has anything etched on it. I think the only thing that is etched are the side windows.

I dont think there is a way to tell if it is PPG. But if you are already getting cracks, i dont think that it is PPG glass. Ive had some pretty good size rocks hit my windshield and there are NO cracks or chips.

IF it does say it anywhere it will be in one of the 4 corners or the glass or it COULD be in the middle up by the rear view mirror.

There will be a logo and other information stamped on the windshield.
The three biggest are PPG, Pilkington & Safelite.

 

yup you men are right. Its PpG glass i dont know why this TINY TINY TINY little chip is causing so much issues.
