a win/ win situation

i got 5g's ready to be poured into my CL.. originally, i had planned for my CL to undergo a JDM h22 swap and also convert to 5 speed. the shop thats doing the swap has not returned my calls or private messages. im getting impatient, and im having second thoughts about the swap.. i made a deal with myself that if the shop doesnt reply in the next week or so, ill be using the 5g's into a custom paint job, full body kit, and possibly rims. thats a sweet deal.. though my #1 priority is swapping motor and converting to 5 speed.

will update later...

the question you gotta ask yourself is.......is it really worth all that money to go a few seconds faster?

I really wanted to make my car quick, do the 5spd and H22 swaps, but after thinking more and more about it, i came to the conclusion that its not worth it. To me anyway, everyone else is different. My shit looks good, thats all i care about, when i get my next car, it ll be fast from the factory, and thats the one im' gonna deck out for speed.

not only a few seconds faster, but a great investment for power. i think its well worth it. 50+ extra hp is cake. whats most important is that youll have more potential over the stock f22/23 motor.

"everyone has different tastes" like you said, as for me, its going to be worth having a "fuckingfast" CL .

dont get a kit or a engine or a manual tranny..

paint ur car an original color (not factory) and drop it with rims

after that just get a system and ull have 2 - 3 g's to lamp on

plz dont waste ur dough tryin 2 speed in your ack..

you;ll get pulled over alot and trust me its not worth it

if u wanted to do that u shoulda got a civic or accord

cool, but could care less having a "show" car. im a race type of guy (i do not participate in illegal street races, so do not assume). i will build my car to go fast, and most importantly, i will build it however i want. thanks for the feedback, but there is no need for modification opinions (im not saying you shouldnt, though i am letting you know what im doing, because i thought you guys would be interested in hearing this)

word up mang. if the turbo'd h22 EG can spew out 725 hp, it is possible to make that kind of power with an h22.

The CL IS an Accord. And a civic is still slow. Turbo civics only run 13s.

like i said before, i made up my mind already. if i cant get the h22 deal then im going to get something else with my money. the reason why, is because ive searched so long to find a GREAT deal for the h22 swap + 5 speed conversion. this shop offered me a GREAT deal, 5,000$ for everything including labor! it is like an offer i couldnt refuse, because ive been quoted 6500-7000 for the swap + 5 speed at 2 other shops on the island. im going to stop by the shop and ask um whats up. i finally got enough money for this, and now its taking forever to fucking order it because someone is not replying to any of my messages

yes, getting shit in hawaii is a bitch.. can you believe that a shop quoted me 6-7gs for the swap?!

i meant i could use that money to get a kit, paint job, etc.

please stop whoring up my thread. you have voiced your opinion 3 times already, and it being the same thing. again, you are not me, and i am not you. we both have different feelings about mods. its nice that you prefer to mod your car a certain way, but i am not looking for opinions about what to do with my money. i thought you guys would be interested if i shared this with you all.

anyways thanks for the feedback. im still trying to get in touch with the shop owner. update later.

peace
